Note the highlighted mounds in the top right photo showing the former location of Braybrooke Castle
Sadly the castle was demolished around 1633 but not before King James I dined there in 1605!
The Church - chancel 13th century and nave 14th century - gained the Griffin Chapel early 16th century
The river Jordan runs through the village, under the 13th century bridge and for a time fed the great fishpond
the outline of which can be seen to the left of the castle in the photo.
